“The Hype About Hydration”

Staying hydrated is arguably one of the toughest things to stay on top of in our daily lives. From rushing the kids out the door in the mornings, running errands all day long, answering work phone calls, and everything in between, life can get in the way and making sure you get your daily dose of H20 can seem impossible. Now amplify that even more when we’re on vacation! Drinking water really is one of the last things on our minds.

However, making sure you stay hydrated during your vacation can improve the overall quality of your stay and make it that much more enjoyable for you and your family. A few tips to help you remember to stay hydrated are:

  1. Bring a reusable water bottle to fill up throughout the day. Carrying a reusable water bottle makes keeping up your water intake that much more convenient and accessible.  A nice added bonus is that you won’t waste tons of extra cash on buying water bottles all day long!
  2. Stick with good ole plain water for most of your day. Drinking sugary sodas and juices can actually have the opposite effect and end up dehydrating you more than anything. Try to keep “fun” drinks to only once or twice a day.
  3. Have water delivered to your hotel room! This is a great way to make sure you always have water on hand and ready to go before you head out anywhere.

Staying hydrating boosts energy naturally, keeps digestion on track, and improves overall mood. All of this means you feel your best everyday. So drink up and use these tips to help you stay hydrated during your vacation and even after you’re back to the reality of everyday life.
